However, the founding team quickly became aware of two key points:
1
Firstly, cloud security is essential for the sustainable and successful use of cloud technology. Cloud security is not an aspect that can be added to a platform as an afterthought.
2
Secondly, cloud security is fundamentally different from traditional data center security. Availability, confidentiality and integrity are still central objectives of information security, but the environment, ways, means and scaling in the cloud are fundamentally different and require new and innovative approaches.

Foundation and launch of the company in Berlin as a born-in-the-cloud consultancy.
november
Go-to-market with the positioning as the first company in D/A/CH with a clear focus exclusively on AWS Cloud Security.
2020
february
Solaris (formerly Solarisbank) becomes our first major customer in the area of AWS Cloud Security.
March
March: Joins the AWS marketplace to become AWS CPPO-eligible.
April
A&B becomes an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner.
September
A&B becomes a member of ECO e.V. and a founding member of the EuroCloud Native (ECN) initiative.
2021
february
Alice&Bob are expanding their service portfolio to include managed services and reselling (technology advisory).
May
Start of the partnership with OKTA.
July
A&B serves 50 customers.
august
A&B is listed in the ISG Cloud Native study as an important player in the German cloud native ecosystem.
november
First participation in the AWS re:Invent.
December
A&B reaches 30 customers, including Deutsche Bahn, Fielmann, Degussa Bank, DIHK, idealo, Notebooksbilliger, OBI and many more.

Lacework becomes a permanent partner of A&B in the area of "Cloud Security Platform" and "Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform" (CNAPP).
April
First participation in the AWS Summit as a Gold Sponsor.
Winner of the AWS Partner Award "Club 50".
June
A&B is one of four German companies to receive the prestigious and rare "AWS Security Competency" award.

Inclusion in the ISG as a "Product Challenger" in the area of "Technical Security".
november
Award from AWS as "Partner of the Year - EMEA".
A&B officially joins the AWS Public Sector Partner Program. After already serving customers from the public sector, this was just a logical next step.

The AWS Leadership Team selects Alice&Bob as Rising Star 2024 among 4000 partners in D/A/CH.
2023
April
A&B launches first "Migration Acceleration Program" projects and helps larger customers to migrate to the AWS cloud.
May
A&B wins the "AWS Partner Trophy" in recognition of the new business generated by A&B in the AWS environment.
December
A&B has looked after more than 100 customers since it was founded. Many are long-term customers with whom we have entered into a trusting partnership lasting several years.
2024
January
Launch of our "Digital Foundation" portfolio.
Alice&Bob.Company signs partner agreements with Spot.io and NetApp. Spot.io is the global leader in cloud cost optimization.
April
A&B becomes an official Grafana partner. This means that we are now thinking about the topic of "Observability" in our Digital Foundation. This makes A&B one of the first official Grafana partners in Europe.
May
With our "Disco above the cloud", A&B is organizing the biggest side event next to the AWS Summit. It will be a party of superlatives with around 700 participants.
ISG once again names A&B as a "Product Challenger" in the "Cybersecurity - Solution and Services" sector.
June
A&B adds Wiz to its security portfolio as a further manufacturer.
